Banner Personnel in Des Plaines is hiring for a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant in the Northwest Suburbs. Our client a busy CPA Firm located in the Northwest Suburbs is looking for a experienced Bookkeeper to record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. You will post information to accounting journals/software and reconcile accounts to ensure their accuracy. Must be advanced in working with Microsoft Excel.

Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
Bring the books to the trial balance stage
Perform partial checks of the posting process
Complete tax forms
Enter data, maintain records and lunch reports and financial statements
Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
Administrative duties
Customer Service with Clients
Special Projects as needed
Microsoft Office Suites, Excel and Outlook

Proven bookkeeping experience
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficiency in English and in MS Office
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

We are in need of 5 Full-Time Seasonal Customer Care Reps for an inbound call center. It may go perm in the end but no promises. See ad below. The call center DOES NOT take phone orders but instead complaints about service, drivers and overall a bad experience from website or delivery (damaged items/broken/leaking). It's not the nicest environment at all. Very negative all day and about 150-200 inbound calls lasting an average of 3-5 minutes or so. It's the national call center for the entire country for the company. We handle 3 websites Giant, Stop and Shop and ours as well. Typically our resolution to please the customer is giving a credit for their items or troubles. No call center exp. needed but helpful just good phone skills, typing skills and Customer Service skills face to face or over the phone.
